The Lockdown Diaries #1

Well last season was an unmitigated disaster and we find ourselves demoted to the Adidas division, which will also be a murderers row of opponents nothing will come easy as we strive to return to the Elite division at the first time of asking. below is a report on how the first 7-10 days of pre season went for us ending on the 13th September.

CAPTAINS:
We decided that new captains where required to freshen things up and we decided to do this early so we could evaluate that our choices where the right men for the job. So the captain for season 5 would be the young Irish defender Caoihmin Og, last season he stood up to be counted and was noted commanding the defence even the older more experienced players, which we noted gained him the respect of said players in the squad. Now our first choice for vice captain Niguez asked to be passed over as he has some personal problems going on and didn't want that to bleed onto his performance leading players although he vowed he was 100% committed to the club and its success and will help out where he id required. So we decide that if we where going with a young leader maybe his assistant/vice should also be young and we picked you ng Macedonian midfielder Elmas , a utility player who showed his worth last season and was dependable no matter where he was asked to play in the midfield.

RELEASED PLAYERS:
We had a few reasons for our releases this season, the main reason was to get some extra revenue as we planned on loosening the purse strings in an effort to improve our entire squad and also future proof it. A secondary reason some of the players selected was that we had thirteen defenders on the book at the end pf season.
First on our list was Adan the 34 year old goalkeeper was seen as an inferior skilled back up and his replacement was getting negotiated for when we released him, we might even add another keeper if the right player comes along. The rest of the players released where all defenders who where deemed too old or just surplus due to lack of ability, they where: Trippier, Kyri'poulos and Vrsaljko. all four went to the ATM sales.

TRANSFERS:
IN:
First through the door was young Leda Cygnus, the 18 year old forward came from Atalanta and in return they got Portuguese star Joao Felix and £25 million. Oliver Skipp came from Tottenham for £140 million, the original plan was to loan him out after training but as of this moment he is with the first team in rotation. Then we replaced Adan with Kelleher from Liverpool he becomes the back up goalkeeper and he cost us £120 million.
Our final move of incoming players came after we sent out for scouting report and after a thorough bit of research we picked up three players. First we bought young 17 year old Antonovish from Russia, joining him will be his 21 year old compatriot Kirillovich central defender. The last player from the scout was 21 year old Spanish starlet Ouis Yuliyas another defender.

LOAN OUTS:
We sent two players to Galatasaray to get the maximum laying time/ experience they can. Bothe are out on loan together for the second season running, the players are |Sanchez, a 22 year old Spanish defender and Cielemecki a 19 year old versatile defender.
SALES:
So far we have only sold three players to other clubs. De Wit went to Portugal and joined Sporting CP for £105 million. Greek defender Apostolakis went to Fiorentina in Italy for £80 million. The most recent player to leave the club was Filipe, the Brazilian defender joined Turkish club Birrakarra for £105 million.
