A public holiday was declared in Poland to allow fans to all go and greet manager Raingod as he arrived for duty.

They are hoping that Warsaw can deliver a fraction of the Atalanta success – this is  enough to really excite them all!

He has set about reviewing the club from top to bottom – work has begun on improving the stadium – as we will look to get lots of new followers which in turn will help fund team development.

On announcement of the appointment, Legia were immediately installed as title favourites, though odds for Galatasary were also lowered to match them when arch rival Chris S was appointed there. Ironically Galatasaray were one of the clubs Raingod was talking to, before Warsaw offered an unbeatable contract.

The squad were surprised to turn up to training on Day 1 and be told they must all fight for their places, but 2 sessions in and the core of the team are talking about the refreshing approach. 21 players are “available” unless they can impress in the close season, and it is unbelievable that the squad is so imbalanced they have FIVE right backs, but very little up front.

Will Raingod continue with his favoured 352 style or will he adapt with the squad around him?

Still in both cup competitions - Cup & Trophy - having already had 7 ties!

Sit in 2nd, 3 pts off the top, of the Uhlsport, behind Chris' Galatasary, and with BATE Borisov breathing down our necks...!

A strong squad, with some useful signings, but the performances are not yet up to scratch of a side with ambitions of the title.

Too much choice, chopping and changing to try and get the perfect formula ...

However only 1 loss in 11  (3 of our 5 defeats were actually in the Pre Season Cup anyway!)

Player of Half 1: M_Wieteska - a stalwart at the back whether we play 3 or 4 there, and has taken his vice capt responsibilities well!

Young Player of Half 1: Kaluzinski - a close season scout signing, this 18 year old has delivered more key passes than anyone else in the squad - very versatile, he has played all over the midfield ...

Despite  a post to request deals to "freshen up the team", not a single offer was forthcoming ... ??
