2 games, 2 draws... seeing a theme here lol, hopefully we will get our first win next season.

FC BASEL 2-0 Atalanta
A win to finish off the season but relegation is the result. In truth I knew we would struggle in this league as out squad was never good enough. Even the few signings we made had a limited impact.
Inter 3-0 AC MILAN
What the hell!
We were top at the half-way point and Inter were 6th but a poor second half of the season has meant we finish the season out of the promotion places. If this game had finished 2-0 we would have gone up on goals scored but the late 3rd goal turned promotion on it's head.
Disappointed.

A great result that the history books will show, but in truth it was even until Carvajal's sending off.
A 26 minute hat trick from super sub Blai, but strong performances across the board .. and another clean sheet!
2 trophies in the bag, can we do the treble on Wednesday night?

What a tense end to the season, with the table changing several times throughout the 90 mins ...
The permutations were:
Galatasaray win or draw - the league is theirs
Gala lose and Warsaw win - we are champs ...UNLESS Bate beat Galatasary by better GD than we win
BATE can overtake us and take runner up spot too...
We left it very late - at 2-0 down, BATE would overtake us - results identical - BATE had the better record vs us!

... And then backheels the ball to the edge of the area
... Rafa_Lopes laches onto the pass

... GOOOOAAAAALLLLLL !!
... What a shot!
... sof 2-1 war ..
Lopes - the forgotten man of the forward line with so mnay new signings this season, stepped up and put his name in Warsaw history books!!

LASt game of the season and the lyon manager failed to turn up but we still had a job to do and we did scoring 4 and keeping a clean sheet and again aubam scoring again he has scored in every game since i signed him so season is over
and we finish the season in 5th i am happy considering we was near the bottom when i took over so i will reasses the team in preseason and see who can leave i will probs only sign 1 more player then i will concentrate on the stadium
so happy to win our last game of the season now time to focus on next season

Sanchez scored in the first minute to set the tone for the match. Bate managed to equalize but Galatasaray was not to be denied the league on this day. Delighted for this squad, they have made a cup final and won their league.

Olympique_Marseille 2 - 1 SL_Benfica
Great way to end the campaign. Pleased with our standing in the table. Fourth but only 2 points adrift of second and third. Marseille will look to build upon this and compete for promotion next season.

PSG 0 v 1 Barcelona
Disappointing end as the PSG pups couldn't get the win that their performance deserved. 9 shots on target, but for the second time this season ter-Stergen was like a wall in the Barca goal. PSG have maybe deserved more this season, having lost several games despite having a better Xg, but Matt Harrison has just put it all down to experience. The youngsters will come back stronger for it!

Schalke 04 1 - 0 Feyenoord

Manager Richard Logan has signed a 3 year contract and is delighted to be leading Schalke into the new second tier league. Also schalke were surprised to find out that they qualified for there first World Trophy. Richard Logan will have to strengthen in the close season and add some more bodies in. The match itself was good for some squad players to get game time. Phyllpye got his first goal on his competitive debut. Fabio Silva came on for a cameo and showed flashes off what he can offer. Unfortunately he had to come off injured.

No idea how this happened and subsequently even less idea how we manage to claw onto 4th place in the table and claim a WLT place.
Some pre-season rebuilding required and hoping that end of season aging is kind to us.
