So we progress in the cup we made priority but it was a scrappy game, we had more shots on target and a goal disallowed, but the normal rhythm wasn’t quite there. The back four looked imperious again, but some midfield tinkering may be need for the weekend. But we’re through and the squad is fully fit and available so happy days.

PSG did enough in the first leg to see off a talented City team, meaning that a slender defeat was enough to progress. The team defended well, but looked toothless in attack without the injured Idriss Fares. Matt Harrison might well finish up playing for three 0-0 draws as his talisman recovers from injury

A bore draw sees us through .. at least we tried to play football and created the only 4 chances of the game ..
Raingod has agreed to refund ticket prices of all away fans as a thank you to their loyalty .. for having to put up with such a negative performance from the hosts ...
Soares was MOM in an otherwise forgettable game ...

Unlike Wolfsberg, we wanted to entertain our fans, and set up to go for it with 5 attackign players in a 3-2-0-3-2 line up ..
It started well .. we were 2-0 up after 18 - but Everton came back into it and scored a further 3 ..
The Zorya Ultras appreciated our efforts though, singing their hearts out before 20 mins of "We're gonna win the league!"
The experienced "Jed" at the back was MOM ..

After holding them to 1 in the first leg we took a safety first approach. If we could hold it close until the last 20 we would open up.
We did the first bit but just couldn't get into the game in the last 20. A professional job by Liverpool.
I make no apologies for the D tactic Raingod , your team is just too good for us to have toe to toe.
