Galatasaray 3-0 Ajax

Just scratching our heads at this one, again dominant on the stats front, 19 shots and 8 on target, but the home side managing to score all 3 of their shots on target with just a single off target attempt. On to Tallinn in what looks likely to be the last game of the pre season tournament.

RB Salzburg 0-1 Barcelona

A pleasing controlled performance from the Catalans in game 2 of the cup. A solitary Griezmann effort, well assisted by the impressive Arthur, was enough for a third win in a row and maximum 6 points in the group. Barca made 6 changes, allowing for good squad rotation and there is much competition for places for the final group game against Juventus - bien hecho los muchachos!!

i played a different 11 for this game to give everyone a chance and we got a point but another injury so 4 points from 2 games not to bad but could do better

 VfL Wolfsburg    1   -       Liverpool  1

Well played werewilf with wolfsberg!!

Just the draw, still top the group but need to beat Rangers and outscore Wolfsberg to ensure we finish top ..

Again, poor set of abs - perhaps all the cup finals/semi finals took their toll .. and maybe I should have given the players a longer rest??

Campbell's goal was cancelled out by Blair ... OUR PLAYER! (Werewilf - you need to be playing Aleman as well as per terms of the loan deal!)

Mortia MOM again - is this his season?

 Chelsea 0  -       FC Zorya Luhansk 3

Wow - possibly best result in my time here!

Going to Stamford Bridge and outplaying them!

Just the brace from Mo this time .. with new signing Barella as MOM!

Shakhtar 1-1 AC MILAN

We can probably considr ourselves a little fortunate to get away with a draw as they had a bit more of the game than we did. The performance wasn't too bad.

WOLFSBURG 1-1 Liverpool

The change in formation and tactics workd. We went with wingbacks to try and contain their wingers but still play with 2 up front an for the most part it worked.

This meant that 3 central midifielders was the order of the day, a reason why Aleman didn't play but he will play in normal circumstances Raingod.

Valencia 0 - 1 Bayern Munich

A kick in the teeth conceding a 90th minute goal we didn't deserve and the double blow was having Molina sent off that means he can't play in the next game. We played ok and matched out top division opponents so really disappointed to have lost. We've now lost both of our Subbuteo Cup games.
