Valencia - Sporting Lisbon

We're hopeful of a comfortable match against the league's basement club who are yet to get a point this season. It may give us the opportunity to change a couple of players around. That said we mustn't take it for granted so hopefully we'll get a good result and a few goals too. A couple of changes from the midweek cup defeat with an expectation of a more attacking line-up. We may also take this opportunity to trial a tactic we don't often use.

Barcelona - Atletico Madrid

We're on a bad run if form so not really looking forward to this game against a Spanish rival. Time for a change of formation and a recall for Perry Jones who has been unfairly benched in recent weeks. We think the likely result is a draw but we're desperate for three points to keep in touch at the top. Concentration for 90 mins is key after conceding two late goals last time out costing us all three points.

Matt Harrison took a break from talking about himself in the third person to welcome Mike to ELFO in this week’s press conference. “It’s great for the game that we have new blood, and brilliant that all the Elite division clubs have a manager. I wish he had waited a few more days though; I was looking forward to playing an unmanaged team. It’s going to be a tough test now. Real have a ferociously talented team. A real terror of a fixture this one. Still, we have enough to get a result if we perform.”

AS Roma vs Ajax Amsterdam

3 successive wins see Ajax travel to Italy brimming with confidence, the rested players from the cup win at Arsenal return with L_Traore dislodging M_Marega from the bench. With Roma in 3rd and Ajax chasing from 4th there’s a lot riding on the match for both sides.

Liverpool - Juventus

After last week's disappointing defeat to Roma, we welcome the league leaders to Anfield, refreshed after a midweek bye and with a new look team.

2 debutants start in De Ligt at the back and Nuwedorp up front. Nuwedorp was discovered by Raingod last season as Caretaker at Atalanta and has been patiently waiting for the 4 week window before being able to approach them to sign him.

With the exit of Adrian this week, the Liverpool squad is now all under 30 - with plenty of teens to mix with the experience of VVD, Salah, Pogba, Alli.

Given Juve's tight defence we will take the game to them and look to secure 3 points ...

Legia_Warsaw - Galatasaray_SK

A massive massive game tonight that is already a sell out!

Win and we pull ourselves to within 2 points of the leaders, lose and Chris S will have an 8 point lead on us so early in the season!!

Furthermore, Raingod has a 100% loss record to Chris S in their 2 previous meetings .. when both at different clubs.

Could be a good time to play them with 2 defensive players missing - Warsaw will take the game to them and look for 3 points .. we are on good form with 5 straight wins, but must be at our best to score against a side that has only conceded once in their first 5 league games!

Team news being kept under wraps - but Raingod has confirmed that players on form will keep their places ...

Please continue that bad run for one more game, that would be nice for us. I also think a draw could be the outcome though I prefer those three points staying in Barcelona.
