There were 5 league matches in January, and manager of the month came down to 3 managers ..

3rd:  David H  - Roma

Roma have settled well into Elite league life, currently sitting in 4th just outside the European slots.

Like a yo-yo, there record was WIN-LOSE-WIN-LOSE-WIN

Very strong squad assembled, perhaps some more work on the back line, with only one clean sheet this month.

2nd:  Darlington – Bayern Munich

Sitting pretty 3pts clear at the top of the league, Darlington has got them really firing.

A 1-2 defeat to Roma at the start of the month has been followed up with 4 straight victories, with 3 of the 4 including a clean sheet!

A long way to go but I expect them to be there or thereabouts …

1st:  Skittles - Ajax

As much as I hate to write it, Skittles is a worthy winner this month!

Unbeaten with 4 wins and a draw, defence is very strong with only 2 goals conceded in 5.

(For the record, it was Liverpool who prevented  a 100% win month with a 0-0 in week 5).

Sitting in 2nd just 3 pts behind Bayern, interesting that both promoted sides are in the Top 3 this month …

Elite  – March

A 3 horse race with the top 3 only separated by 3 points …

The bottom 2 look down, with Dortmund and PSG adrift at the bottom ..

A tough league where anyone can beat anyone …


2nd: Warthog - Atletico

3 wins out of 4, each with a clean sheet, and a 9-0 victory to end the month over Bayern (yes, the 8th was offside Darlo!)

Despite this, the holders are not in the race this year, and a Top 2 position looks the best they can achieve

Certainly not over yet, but getting closer for Liverpool after being runners up last year!

Best record of any team in the Elite league, and despatched one of their challengers Roma in the last game, who remain 3 pts off them.

Unmanaged Juve are level with Roma and remain a threat ..
