January:

3 teams stood out versus the rest

3rd: Daz - Lazio

P5 W3 D1 L1

Another appearance for Daz as his Lazio team continue to impress, putting aside the disappointment of losing the play-off final last season.

Only 2 goals conceded in the 5 games, the last of which was a 0-1 slip up.

Well placed in the league to challenge again this season …

2nd: Werewilf: AC Milan

P5 W3 D1 L1

After finishing 4th last season, Werewilf is showing further improvement so far this season, and unbeaten in the last 4 matches of January.

They control games, winning 2-0,3-0, 2-0 – without conceding – will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season …

1st : Macca: Zagreb

P5 W4 D1 L0

Macca gets MOM for an unbeaten run in the month – the 4 victories were all with 0 conceded !

Despite being caretaker, he has delivered a great set of results – and come the end of the season he may have 2 x teams promoted to the Elite Division!

February

An extremely close month results wise - and a 3 horse race as it stands for the top 2 places ...

3 clubs secured just 2 points in the month - Olympiakos, Shaktar & Marseille, whilst the other 7 all obtained between 4 and 6 points ..

3rd: Gattuso - Napoli

P3 W1 D2 L0

3 clean sheets, Napoli are built on strong defensive foundations, but scoring goals is a struggle - just the one in 3 matches ..

Only out of the relegation zone on GD, whilst their arch rivals Lazio sit at the top .. bad times to be a Napoli fan!

2nd Garcia - Thessaloniki

P3 W2 D0 L1

Doing their best to get out of the relegation zone, 2 x 1-0 wins and a 0-2 loss were delivered

Whilst they stay in the relegation zone, they have it all to play for (unlike Shaktar who seem dead and buried on 3 points)


1st - Daz  - Lazio

A double award for Daz this month - very close, but by virtue of a 2-0 victory in week 9, Lazio have a +1 superior GD over PAOK over the 3 games ...

Whilst they may not be a patch on the Lazio team in CofE (!!!) Daz may well have to decide who to drop in the off season should he secure a double promotion to the Elite League ..

3 big Italian teams are chasing the top 2 slots ..

At the foot, Donetsk look resigned to relegation with just one win, 4 teams scrapping to avoid 9th ..

2nd: Daz – Lazio

P4 W2 D2 L0

Lazio maintain their form .. unbeaten in the month with 2 wins and 2 draws .. and just the 1 goal conceded!

Despite 2 x 0-0 draws, they still increased their gap on Milan by 2 points – as they had 3 x 0-0 draws … who said Italian football is boring ????

1st: Drum – Inter

P4 W3 D1 L0

Congrats to Drum on being manager of the month in his first full month in role!

Some quick rebuilding has paid off, and they didn’t concede a goal in the month!

Lazio may be too far away to catch, but Werewilf will be nervously looking over his shoulder !!
