Man City vs Ajax

One of the highlights of round one of the subbuteo cup must surely be this fixture, both sides looking evenly matched Ajax come off the back of scoring 8 goals in their 2 friendlies so far and City a solid 3-1 win away to Marseille. It looks like an unchanged line up for Ajax, and Skittles said he would not compromise in his quest for total football from his team.

1ST Match in this pre season tournament this is a chance for all my players to earn a starting spot once the season starts so they have to play well and show me what they can do hopefully we can do well in these pre season games

Liverpool - Rangers

A first ever meeting with Rangers and Burrows in EFLO ..

They are favouites for the Nike division, so we field a strong line up - taking this competition seriously even though it is pre season!

We go our typical 433 formation - and Origi makes the bench - after 2 seasons on loan will he be staying in the squad this season?

PSG vs Shaktar

Well the first press season game for Shaktar sees PSG loanees Tijani and Mbappe face up to Matt Harrison, surely to thank him for trading them Paris for the East of East Europe. Shaktar are going with a heavily loaded midfield to try and stifle the talent of their opponents but equally will be hoping to play attractive football themselves.

Schalke v WOLFSBURG

A meeting of the Germans.
Schalke were the in great form last season and have improved over the break so this should be an interesting game.

AC MILAN v BMG

A first meeting with the Germans as AC Milan manager. Their manager has done some good work on the team since taking over and although we are an Elite league team this should still provide a challenge.

PSG v Shaktar

Matt Harrison surprised reporters by announcing that there would be no surprises to his team, despite it being an opportunity to experiment. He's looking to give his best youngsters the most playing time, so his team pretty much picks itself.
