PSG 1 v 3 Roma

Matt Harrison went for all out crazy attack in this game and it completely backfired, as PSG fell 3-0 down almost straight after kick off. An experiment that's unlikely to be repeated!

Real Sociedad 1 - 2 Valencia

Delighted with the win although we made hard work of it. With Sociedad taking the lead with the players' minds still on the Christmas songs from their long journey we had to come from behind. Fortunately new superstar Innocenti got the equaliser right on half time before Gotze got the winner midway through the second half. We were deserving of the win and despite only being by one goal we'll happily take the three points. Fortunately the gaffer confirmed the squad would be flying back home, with no Christmas songs on the agenda!

Atletico Madrid 2 - 0 Borussia Dortmund

A great victory with two early goals from captain Joao Felix and Dortmund unable to reply. The sour point of the game was a bad injury to Maddison and a strange decision by the manager to bring on defender and vice captain Kyri'poulos on to replace him and play attacking midfield! Despite this we were still able to control the game with a fine victory. Even better is that Santa bought Atletico a magic sponge for Christmas so Maddison should be fit for the cup game this week.
