A disappointing result against the Brazilians. Whilst holding our own against a top side is something we should be proud of, the fact that they played with 10 men for 60 minutes leaves us feeling a bit demoralised. It was by no means a classic game but we did everything we could without being able to find a way past Alves in the opposition goal. Innocenti had an off day in front of goal so we have to regroup, have a break and go again in the league when it starts again in the new year.

Kawasaki Frontale 1 - 2 Atletico Madrid

A hard fought victory against a good side away from home, which we found out was Japan after arriving on a long flight. The disappointment of the night was key striker and captain Joao Felix going off injured in the first half, but this blow was softened by his replacement Perry Jones scoring both goals either side of a strike from Kawasaki. We maintain our 100% record under manager Warthog which is pleasing but we have to manage without Felix for the next game. What has baffled the gaffer most is the injury being a bruised hand - what on earth are the players made of these days?! We think he needs to man-up a little in the future if he has any aspirations of being one of the best players in the game!
