Liverpool 1 - Barcelona 1

Disappointing result, putting the title out of our hands after many weeks at the top. It is now Atletico's to lose  :'(

Barca had a dodgy penalty, no shots on target, yet we were thankful on Neymar for a last minute equaliser ..

Two wins from last 2 games is a must and we have to hope that Juve can do us a massive favour and beat them next week ....

Schalke_04 2 - Atalanta_BC 3

There was a real feeling of "here we go again" when Schalke took the lead on the stroke of half time .. after starting so well with an Ilcic drive on 14 mins!

A double from supersub Nuwedorp on 82 & 84 minutes secured us the points.

We remain 2 points behind Leipzig, but it is in our hands as we host them next week in what will be the title decider .. we cannot be caught for runners up spot, so have already exceeded board objectives, but must pull out all the stops to win next week to overtake them going into the final match ...

Olympique_Marseille 3 - 0 Getafe_CF

Marseille back to winning ways with a trademark performance.  We were without Strootman for this match so I decided to play with 2 forwards for much of the match.  Benedetto's stat line may not be very good but he was instrumental in getting Reus back among the goals and our wingers both had superb showings.  We have not secured 2nd place yet, 2 matches left and 5 point edge on Valencia.  I am sure they will be aiming for 6 points in the final two so we'll need to keep ourselves focused on the task at hand.

Manchester_City 0 - 3 Atletico_Madrid

Completely dismantled City.  Benezma did what is becoming the norm for him with the 25th minute goal to open the scoring, once we got the lead we were able to control the match.  Mendes got a 20 minute cameo and scored a brace, the 20 year old is trying to force his way into the starting lineup.

When I took over 9th place Atletico Madrid, I was just hoping to keep them away from relegation.  After a few matches I thought 3rd would be a reasonable goal.  To now be sitting top of the table with two matches left is just crazy.  I am honored to be competing against Raingod and Gary, I've got the utmost respect for both managers having faced them both on a few occasions across multiple formats.  Good luck gentlemen I'll give it my best and we'll see how the chips fall, should be exciting.

Valencia 2 - 1 Leicester

A pleasing win against a good side. Goals came in the form our our two front men Rapadori and Gotze with Leicester getting a consolation just before half time with a dodgy penalty. Whilst they threw everything they could at us in the second half we hung on for victory. It is looking likely that third place will be our best finish but nevertheless we'll just do everything we can to win our remaining games and rejoice that we won't have to play Tottenham again in the league next season!

Real Madrid 0 - 0 Juventus

This draw effectively ends out title hopes with just two games to play and 5 points off top.

Our away form has been dire this season, 7 points from a possible 24 has really cost us and something we will need to address next season.

VfL Wolfsburg 0 - 1 RB Leipzig

It wasn't pretty and we can certainly count ourselves lucky to get the three points in this one as Wolfsburg were the better side.

But, at this time of the season, its about results and in truth, we have been grinding results out this month without playing great football.

It all leads to Saturday's game against Atalanta who are two points behind us.

PSG 1 v 2 Dortmund

Matt Harrison played 5 at the back and looked to hit Dortmund on the counter, and it was all going according to plan until Makutungu got himself sent off. Another defeat, and the PSG pups drop into the relegation zone for the first time this season. Relegation was always a possibility with Matt Harrison's focus on youth, but with 2 games to go, nothing is decided yet....
