Internazionale 1 - Liverpool 0

Another disastrous result, compounded by the fact that Juve held Ateletico, so a win would have put us back in the driving seat ...

And Inter played 80 minutes with 10 men!!

A draw was probably the fair result as we did not make numerical advantage count, but that would have made no difference to what we need to do next week ..

Only The Ox (MOM) and Henderson played well - and Raingod needs to look at how we line up next week in a must win final game ...

Atalanta_BC 1 - RB_Leipzig 0

Advantage Atalanta again, as a very late BICYCLE KICK winner from sub defender Caldara gave us all 3 points.

This was despite a 10th minute dismissal of Ilcic for verbal abuse .. the defence held firm and MOM loanee Lo Celso sat as a DM and marshalled the game..

The goal was in fact our ONLY shot of the game, and Leipzig can count themselves as unlucky ..

So the maths are now simple, win our last match and Atalanta are champions regardless of results elsewhere ...

Atletico_Madrid 0 - 0 Juventus

Typical match against Gary with the scored tied after regulation, I'd imagine had we gone to penalties he would have won, lol.  Fortunate that Liverpool was unable to capitalize on us dropping 2 points.  Atleti are now 1 point ahead heading into the final match.

Olympique_Marseille - Sporting_Lisbon

Despite a dominating performance Marseille had to settle for a draw.  Benedetto got the start as the lone striker and Reus started on the bench and came on midway.  Benedetto scored Marseille's only goal and Reus still struggled to find the net again lead the team with 8 shots.  Hopefully a good sign moving forward. Valencia presumably still buzzing from their Cup win helped us out by dropping points, so we still managed to clinch 2nd place.  We'll have to get our team sorted in the final match.

Getafe 4 - 2 Valencia

The cup hangover well and truly hit us with two games very close together where we got an embarrassing thumping by minnows Getafe. On an extremely sloping pitch, all six goals went in down the same end. Getafe raced into a 4-goal first half lead with the majority of the Valencia team still sleeping it seemed. After a half-time rollicking by the manager Valencia came out stronger second half but it was far too late. Rapadori continued his hot streak of scoring by netting twice, with high expectations on him for season 2 where he is expected to be high in the goalscoring charts with a full-season to participate in. 3rd position in the league is consolidated going in to the final game so a few players may get an opportunity for some first team action with nothing to play for.

Leicester City 2-0 TOTTENHAM

What the hell!!
I played my strongest team after losing the Trophy Cup Final but it seems they may have been miffed about missing out on a final.  Leicester totally dominated this game and it's hard to see exactly where we went wrong.  I was hoping for 100% league record, or at least an unbeaten league season but that has been blown out of the water and by a team I would never have anticipated it would be.

LAZIO 0-0 Roma

It was quite an entertaining nil-nil for the fans as both teams were used to playing in the stadium.  Not the result I was looking for but Roma have not lost any games this season and it leaves them in the driving seat for the title.  They know that if they match or better our result they will win the league.  Our one hope is that they entertain Thessaloniki in teir last game and the Greek side have upset a few top teams this season, including us.
